We are a certified Australian Made Retail Supporter.
We only buy from Australian owned companies.
Wherever possible our products in our Aussie gift range and Australian hampers are made here in Australia to save you the embarrassment of sending a gift package overseas with everything on it with labels that indicate ‘made overseas’!
There are some exceptions where we have lost manufacturing capability in Australia, and our only option has been to buy from Australian owned companies who employ Australian designers, and have their products made overseas.
If you are unsure – every product in our range that is made in Australia has the above ‘Proud Retail Supporter’ image as part of the product images. If the product is made overseas, it will NOT have this logo and also state in the description that it has not been made in Australia, but IS supplied by an Australian owned company with Australian quality control standards and Australian designs.
When you buy with us, you have peace of mind that your money is supporting Australian artisans and producers.
The products in our hampers are of the highest quality and meet or exceed all Australian standards.
We are active supporters of the Australian Koala Foundation (AKF).
The AKF is the principal non-profit, non-government organisation dedicated to the conservation and effective management of the wild koala and its habitat.
The AKF was formed in 1986 and will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2016. Since their founding, the AKF has grown from a small group of people interested in researching koala disease, to a well-known, global organisation with a strong track record in strategic koala research, conservation and community education with a huge focus on mapping.
We support the AKF through an ongoing sponsorship of ‘Wattle’, the wild koala, as well as by donating $1 from each package sold to the AKF. If you’d like to adopt a Koala of your own (what a great gift this makes), click here, or if you’re interested in finding out more about the great work the AKF do and how you can help save the koalas, click here to join the Koala Army
