Melanie Vugich

Melanie Vugich is an Australian artist who grew up in the outback NSW town of Broken Hill.

She then spent time in Adelaide and Sydney before venturing to London. On a trip to Italy she instantly fell in love with Florence and remained there for 25 years.

In Florence, she worked as a fabric designer and was introduced to the city’s dynamic community of artists. In her spare time she travelled throughout Europe, painted as much as possible and held countless solo and joint exhibitions.

When it was time to return to Australia, Melanie chose the seaside suburb of Bronte as her base. She focuses on capturing the wild beauty of nature and sharing her passion for colour, composition and the small but meaningful everyday objects that surround us.
