Pammy Foster

Pammy Foster, a proud Waramungu and Alyawarr woman, was born in Tennant Creek and grew up between Ampilatwatja and Wutunugurra (Epenarra). Her passion for painting was nurtured early on, inspired by the teachings of her aunt, Susie Peterson, and her grandmother, Jessie Peterson, both respected artists from Wutunugurra. Pammy specializes in creating intricate artworks that vividly portray the bush flora and landscapes of the Wutunugurra area. Her dedication to her craft is evident as she meticulously refines each canvas, ensuring every piece is detailed and richly layered to meet her high standards.

Pammy Foster, an artist from Epenarra, employs vibrant hues to depict the allure of the Davenport Ranges. Through her art, she layers paint to create textures that mirror the rugged terrain, with densely packed green trees and blooming shrubs filling the canvas, evoking the lush landscape of the rainy season.

Wutunugurra (Epenarra), known as Hill Country by the Indigenous community, is located at the base of Iytwelepenty (the Davenport Ranges National Park). It boasts popular camping spots like Whistleduck Creek and Policeman Waterhole, and is a habitat for diverse birds, insects, and sources of bush medicine.
